I am a firm believer of "sucking it up" to get the shot -- I frequently lay on the ground (even when it's wet) and have found myself in puddles, snow drifts, mud and even waist deep in the lake to get "The Shot." Even on both sides of the camera, we take this philosophy -- for our Trash the Dress session last month, Jason and I were thigh deep in 40 degree river water to get the picture we wanted!
My clients however, don't always take the same view. Thankfully, Amanda and Nate didn't fall into this category! Amanda was rocking a pair of heels and didn't even hesitate when I said, "Why don't the two of you go stand in that knee deep snow in the alley?" LOVE THAT. We froze our tushes off, but got some spectacular portraits-- totally worth it!
