Megan -- [Senior Session]
I love it when seniors are comfy in front of the camera! Megan took direction so well and sucked up the spider webs (even when I didn't) just to get the shot. What a trooper! :D

Isaac
To say Isaac is into BMX would be an understatement. 17 years old, and already sponsored by a local pro bike shop, Isaac is just generally awesome! So when he came in for senior pics with his bike in tow, I knew it would be more than a prop, it's an extension of who he is. Isaac is immensely talented, and one of the nicest young guys I've met in a long time. I had a blast shooting this, and if there's any other BMXers out there, give me a shout!

I actually taught him that jump....lol

Andrea -- Senior Session
With all this talk of weddings, you'd never know that we still are carrying a full studio work load! We're currently booking studio sessions and on-location sessions 2 weeks out now and even longer for evening sessions! I cannot believe HOW BUSY we are!
Here is a little peek at a recent senior session that I just finished proofing up. Isn't she a doll?

Calling All Seniors - Senior Reps Needed NOW!
After much thought, Jason and I have decided to start using Senior Reps. Here's a brief overview of what we're looking for and what you'll get in return - including serious discounts on your senior portraits!

What you will get - the "down low" on the goods!
Senior Reps will earn...
- $25 credit towards their senior portraits for every person they refer to Absolute Photography who purchases a senior package (as little as 7 referrals and you can receive your portraits for FREE!)
- free session and prints in their Junior year to use as promotional material - this includes a myspace/facebook CD!
- we will provide you with the promotional material you need to make this a success!
Our senior reps should be....
- currently enrolled as a Junior in high school
- fun, outgoing and not afraid to talk to people
- socially active - regularly participate in sports, clubs, & other activities
- comfortable posing in front of the camera
- willing to discuss their portrait experience with their classmates
- current photograph of you (taken in the last couple months at least)
- a letter explaining why we should pick you as our senior rep
- list of your current activities/hobbies/sports you play
- any letters of reference that you can get - teachers, pastors, family friends, etc.
- anything else that you think we should know in considering you
- helpful hint-- make it interesting! stand out from the crowd!

We will accept up to two reps per high school (and only one from smaller schools). Deadline for applications will be January 31st, 2009. Please email us with any additional questions.
We look forward to hearing from you!!

Senior Session: Harthun
And here we are with the second of our senior sessions from this past Saturday. Let me tell you, it feels SOOO good being caught up on our proofing! :)
We did another wall walk-- only it had gotten colder and more windy. I thought I was the queen of blinking, but nope.... ha ha, only kidding guys! I don't know how these girls did it with no coats today! BRRRRR!

This one is my favorite from the session-- love her expression and her eyes!

Senior Session: Ramona
Yesterday was an incredibly busy day for us-- we started our day by having a booth at the Holland Sentinel Holiday Expo (thanks everyone for stopping by and talking with us-- we look forward to having the opportunity to work with you!) We then rushed back to the studio to photograph the first of two senior sessions. Ramona and family drove all the way from South Haven for her session.
We started with our "wall walk." With about 5 different textured walls within walking distance of our studio, it is easily my new favorite place to photograph seniors outdoors.

Next, we went back to the studio for some indoor shots.

Thank you to Ramona and your mother (and little sis!) for visiting us!

Senior Sneak Peek: Jany
Let me start out by saying, this is one easy goin' girl!
Jany was such a great sport; she was up for any pose we suggested -- even if it meant leaning against the spider wall (ewww!) or laying down in the incredibly wet grass just to get the shot! We really enjoyed photographing you Jany, hope you enjoy your sneak peek!

Senior Sneak Peek: Audrey
Yet another senior sneak peek! (Didn't I tell you that we've been incredibly busy with seniors the last two weeks? I wasn't kidding!)
I loved working with Audrey outside. She opted for a more urban look which was a welcome change from the typical beach and park sessions that we have been doing a lot of lately. We met in downtown Holland and took a little stroll around the block. She had great expressions and gorgeous green eyes that made my job all the more easier.

I LOVE this shot! By far my favorite!

We then we back into the studio for some indoor shots.

Thanks so much Audrey for choosing Absolute Photography! Enjoy your sneak peek!
